What would you do if you thought each day might be your last?
Rachael Johns’ upcoming release, The Lucky Sisters, poses this very question in a novel that is both thought-provoking and emotional.
Nora and Stevie Lucky, adopted twins who are polar opposites, set out on a journey to find their biological parents after the death of their mother. But what they discover sends their lives in completely different directions, testing their bond as sisters, their love lives, and their careers.
This book moved me deeply. It’s one of those rare novels that can balance heavy themes with warmth and readability, pulling you into the lives of its characters and not letting go. I laughed, I cried, and sometimes I almost did both at once. The characters are written with depth and authenticity, and you can’t help but feel empathy for them as they navigate their journeys.

Without question, The Lucky Sisters is one of Rachael Johns’ best works and one of my personal favourites of the year. And can we just appreciate how absolutely stunning that cover is? I cannot wait to receive my pre-ordered copy in the mail.
