This Book Made Me Think of You by Libby Page is a tender, beautifully written novel that feels like a warm hug — comforting, hopeful, and full of heart.

Tilly Nightingale is navigating life after the devastating loss of her husband, Joe. When her local bookshop calls to say there’s a birthday gift waiting for her — one that Joe arranged before he passed away — she’s stunned. Inside, she finds twelve carefully chosen books, one for each month of the year ahead, each with a message of love and encouragement.

What follows is Tilly’s “year of books” — a heartfelt journey through grief, rediscovery, and healing. Each book Joe leaves behind takes her somewhere new — sometimes physically, sometimes emotionally — and along the way she finds connection, friendship, and the possibility of love again. Her growing online vlog community and her friendship with Alfie, the bookshop owner, add an extra layer of charm and warmth to this already beautiful story.

Libby Page has created something truly remarkable here. The mix of emotion, humour, and inspiration makes this one of my favourite reads of the year. It’s original, clever, and deeply moving, yet also comforting and full of light. I especially loved the inclusion of real book recommendations throughout — my TBR list definitely grew while reading!

This Book Made Me Think of You is a celebration of love, loss, and the way stories can heal us when we need them most. I adored every single page and can’t recommend it highly enough.
