The Life Experiment is one of those rare books that makes you pause and think about what it really means to live. The premise is intriguing: a study that tells participants the exact date they will die. From that starting point, Jess Kitching weaves a poignant, heartfelt love story that is both moving and life-affirming.
I was completely drawn into the journey of Layla and Angus. The concept itself is fascinating, but it’s the emotional depth of the story that left me captivated. There were moments that made me laugh, moments that had me in tears, and many times where I found myself reflecting on my own life and choices.
I don’t often underline or annotate books, but with this one I couldn’t resist. So many phrases resonated with me, words that I wanted to remember long after closing the final page. That in itself speaks volumes about the power of this story.
The Life Experiment is not just a book you read—it’s an experience. One that stays with you, reminding you to appreciate the beauty, fragility, and meaning of life.
