This book was an absolute delight to read. I’ve always loved the idea of running a bookstore, so Harriet’s new beginning in Rivers End really spoke to me. Her journey is heartfelt and emotional, but what made this story truly shine was the way her relationship with her daughter Olive was portrayed. Their bond is central to the story and gave it so much warmth.

When they come across an old diary hidden in a donation, they’re drawn into a decades-old mystery. I loved how this thread tied the past and present together, with the treasure hunt adding a nostalgic sense of adventure. Every detail felt beautifully woven, and the ending was deeply satisfying.

The characters are what made the story come alive. Harriet is so relatable, Olive adds such heart, and the supporting cast brings Rivers End to life. There’s also a gentle thread of hope and the possibility of new beginnings that I adored. This is a book about family, healing, and the unexpected turns life can take.

A brilliant addition to the Temple River series.
